Temple Cloud Air Quality – Public Consultation

Consultation on the proposed Air Quality Management Area

(AQMA) for Temple Cloud (A37) – 14 February to 23 March.

Bath and North East Somerset Council are inviting everyone who lives in or travels through Temple Cloud on the A37 to take part in a public consultation. You can take part via the online survey or at the drop-in event. Online Survey: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/tcbreathe Drop-in Event: Temple Cloud Village Hall, Thursday 15 March, 11.30 am – 1.30 pm The consultation closes at 5pm on 23 March 2018. A further consultation on the draft Air Quality Action Plan will take place later in the year.

Levels of Pollution

Monitoring data from Temple Cloud has recorded consistent exceedances of the annual average NO2 objective, and as a result the District Council is required to declare an AQMA. The proposed AQMA boundary is marked on the map below in red. The 2017 provisional annual average NO2 concentrations (adjusted to the nearest exposure) are displayed in the speech bubbles at the given locations. As shown below, the NO2 concentrations are highest along the A37 through the village. tc_map_with_facade_concentrations
