[DRAFT] Minutes for Electors Annual Parish Meeting – 7th May 2024, 7.00pm


The Annual Electors Annual Parish Meeting for Temple Cloud with Cameley was held at 7.00pm on Tuesday 7th May 2024 at Temple Cloud Village Hall:

Councillor’s present: J Sebright, Chairman, S Box, P Warden and M Wilson
Also present: P Edwards – Clerk and three members of the public


1. WELCOME BY CHAIRMAN

Welcome from the Chairman of Temple Cloud with Cameley Parish Council

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR THE 2023 APM

The minutes for the Annual Parish Meeting held on 16th May 2023 were approved as an accurate record.

3. PARISH COUNCIL CHAIRMAN’S REPORT

Report from Cllr Sebright, Chairman of Temple Cloud with Cameley Parish Council:

The Chairman noted the new parish council that was elected in 2023 and that there were vacancies for new members who may wish to join the council.

The Chairman highlighted the successful installation of the pump track in summer 2023 along with the grand opening party and thanked all the councillors and members of the public who had contributed to the organisation and running of the event.

The Chairman thanked all who helped with the organisation, donation and services for the Christmas tree in December 2023.

The Chairman thanked members of the Parish Council for their support during the year, including Cllr Wilson serving as Vice Chairman along with the clerk and the village operatives

The Chairman thanked Temple Cloud in Bloom for making the village look marvelous.

4. PARISH GRANTS AWARDED

Grants awarded in the 2023/24 Year:

  • Temple Cloud in Bloom: £1000
  • Clutton with Cameley PCC Grass Cutting: £500
  • Pump track party hire of bouncy castle: £165

5. UPDATES FROM RESIDENTS AND LOCAL GROUPS

An update was received from Temple Cloud in Bloom who were celebrating 10 years. TCIB started in 2014 with 2 borders and now look after 11 borders and 33 planters. TCIB reported on the successful recent pop up plant sale which was a great success at the pub and helped boost fundraising. TCIB noted that they would encourage new volunteers to join the team. TCIB highlighted that the ‘In Bloom’ organisation was not just about the flowers, but includes community, friendship and giving back from members with all abilities. TCIB reported that they were planning a bold bright planting scheme to celebrate 10 years along with a recycled plant pot sculpture trail in the summer.

6. REPORT FROM DISTRICT COUNCILLOR

There was no report from BANES District Councillor David Wood.

7. OPEN FORUM

There were no other affairs discussed by those present at the meeting.

8. CONCLUDING REMARKS

There being no other business, the Chairman closed the meeting at 7.22pm
