Fwd: Reminder: B&NES Parish and Town Nature Action Plans Guidance for Parish and Town Councils

Dear Parish and Town Councils,

 

Following a request from a couple of Parish/Town Councils, we are re-sending the Guidance for producing ‘Parish and Town Nature Action Plans’, in case the original email in January was missed by anyone. The attached Guidance, which is also available on our website, will help Parish and Town Councils to plan and take effective action for nature in their local area, and is in response to a positive reception to this concept from Parish and Town Councils.

 

The guidance provides ideas and a template for how to develop and deliver a NAP. The most effective NAPs will be developed in partnership with local expertise and community groups, securing buy-in from as many people and organisations as possible, and so we encourage you to work with a broad a range of stakeholders in developing Plans.

 

We hope the Guidance will enable you to take a lead on local action for nature and make best of local knowledge and expertise. The Nature Recovery Team at B&NES Council is available to support you in the development of Nature Action Plans, subject to the level of uptake and resources available.
